This past year has been life-changing for me.  I quit a part-time Art teaching  job and became fully self-employed as an artist/sculptor in April.  The last time I worked as a full-time artist was a couple of decades ago!  Determined to make it work I pushed the PR and extended my sculpting arms in all directions.  Now, 7 months on, with a 1st prize behind me, exhibitions in wonderful public spaces, quality commissions, an Artist-in-residence post, great articles featuring my work (including Somerset Life) and ideas for an exciting  new series of work, I am looking forward to the next 12 months (b……s to the recession!)

Below are a couple of images of my work currently on exhibition at the Winter Sculpture Exhibition at RHS Garden Rosemoor, Great Torrington, Devon EX38 8PH (running from 27th November – 28th February ’10).  More images to follow…   Please visit if you can!

I am soon off to gather inspiration in Mombasa:-)  Also to catch Anish Kapoor & Wild Thing – Exhibitions at the RA – so many fantastic sculptures in one place is irresistible!
