New Workshops

Over the following months I will be running various workshops – some in schools and some within the wider community.  I am particularly excited by an intergenerational project I’ll be involved in during August at the Carymoor Environmental Centre.  Aimed at pulling communities and different age groups together, volunteers will be able to participate in my workshops (using recycled materials) and take part in a final site specific sculpture in the grounds.  The Carymoor Centre sits like a gem in a wonderful oasis.  It is a transformed nature reserve, built on top of a disused landfill site, next to a waste and recycling depot near Castle Cary.  It is a truly inspired example of biodiversity, humming with life – newts, dragonflies, kingfishers, butterflies, moths, plants etc.. all reminding us how we can make changes for the better…

If you’d like to take part in a workshop, there are still spaces in the following:

GINGER FIG GALLERY, BATH PLACE, TAUNTON:  Friday 18th June or Wednesday 18th August, 10 – 4.  Contact: (01823) 326798

CARYMOOR ENVIRONMENTAL CENTRE:  Thursday 12th August or Friday 13th August, 10 – 4.30.  Contact: (01963) 350143

PS:  At the end of May I ran several 2-hour workshops at Wells Cathedral Junior School with Years 4 & 5.  A lovely school to work in – the students were a dream to teach!  See results below:
