The verdigris patina is fragile. There are several ways they could be hung. Can be box framed, hung on nails, or carefully leant against a wall.
The works resulted from copper electrolysis. Electrolysis is a process of transformation by the application of energy, through positive and negative currents. The work is about process, value, questioning what is organic/inorganic. The relevance of copper (found in ancient deep sea vents, essential in our communication networks, with a volatile value) is of particular interest to me. As Deleuze and Guttari point out ‘metal is the conductor of all matter’. The alchemic process is fascinating.
