Reclaimed and found steel, copper wire, twine, plastic

Created from collected scrap metal, some found on walks and scrap yards, this piece is inspired by cocoon forms in nature, which protect, and symbolise transformation. Spikes are a way of keeping safe from intruders, hairs are protective and sensory.

The process of weaving with wire to create multiple layers is meditative and healing.

Cocoon comes is several parts which detach for easier transportation.
