Rescued from my garden pond after a clean out, these iris rhizomes stared at me for some time in a bucket before I decided to draw them. The overlooked - often small organisms - fascinate me, and I draw as a way to interact and know them better.

I have a passion for nature rooted in the notion of life’s interconnectedness, cyclical persistence, and transformation. I am interested in the complex web of relationships from micro to macro.  I see these rhizomic connections as metaphors for life, vitalism and regeneration.
